A&P MAINTENANCE Tech at Metro Gulf

The Part 145 Aircraft Aviation Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and non- preventive maintenance, alterations, and inspections functions on various customer and company aircraft, engines, and appliances.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with appropriate personnel to repair engines and non-instrumental parts as needed
  • Ensure proper function of aircraft operating systems via a variety of tests and tools
  • Consult maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs
  • Ensure all work is accomplished in accordance with company policies, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations
  • Develop and maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any reports related to parts or services
  • Maintain proper qualifications and remain up-to-date knowledge of maintenance functions and aircraft systems
  • Perform aircraft maintenance activities with the use of aircraft drawings, symbols, and system schematics
  • Identify aircraft corrosion and its proper corrective and preventive treatment

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid FAA A&P certificate or in the process of completing certificate requirements
  • At least three (10) years airframe experience to include flight line maintenance on at least one of the following airframes:
    • AS350/H125
    • EC145
    • EC135
  • Heavy maintenance experience to include engine replacement, engine rigging, main gearbox replacement, flight control removal, and rigging, and VARTOMS adjustment
  • Main rotor track and balance experience
  • Familiar with the current OEM Maintenance Manuals and MSM inspection criteria
  • Sheet metal and avionics experience is preferred but not required
